South Sumatra Food Price Update Today: Onion Prices Up, Chili Prices Down (Tuesday, December 19, 2023)

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Tuesday (19/12/2023) at 13:43 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 8 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are milkfish, chicken eggs, shallots, bulk wheat flour, and simple packaged cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chilies, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), medium rice, curly red chilies, and broiler chicken decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots saw the highest price increase of Rp350 (1.05%), reaching Rp33,560 per kg. Red chilies saw the lowest price decrease of Rp2,280 (3.14%), reaching Rp70,420 per kg.
