South Sumatra Food Prices Today: Chili Prices Up, Chicken Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Tuesday (21/5/2024) at 16:55 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 6 commodities increased and 6 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include bulk cooking oil, milkfish, premium rice, red chilies, and chicken eggs.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as skipjack tuna, chicken meat, bulk wheat flour, garlic bulbs, and curly red chilies decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp1,640 (3.97%) to Rp42,980 per kg. Bulk wheat flour experienced the lowest price decrease, dropping Rp50 (0.53%) to Rp9,310 per kg.
