Latest Food Prices in North Sumatra: Some Fish Prices Up, Others Down (Sunday, December 3, 2023)

The prices of several food commodities in North Sumatra have been observed to increase today compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Sunday (3/12/2023) at 13:46 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 8 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include pure beef, mackerel, bulk wheat flour, broiler chicken, and bulk cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as dry soybean (import), farmer-level corn, fine iodized salt, red chilies, and garlic cloves decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of skipjack tuna saw the highest increase, jumping by Rp530 (1.47%) to Rp36,700 per kg. The price of milkfish saw the lowest decrease, dropping by Rp580 (1.56%) to Rp36,580 per kg.
