Jakarta Food Prices Wednesday (April 16th): Onion Prices Rise, Salt Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in DKI Jakarta today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Wednesday (16/4/2025) at 17.51 WIB, out of 22 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 3 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include large red chilies, red chilies, pure beef, mackerel, and bulk cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as curly red chilies, chicken eggs, and table salt decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots saw the highest price increase at Rp3,529 (6.56%), reaching Rp57,353 per kg. Table salt experienced the largest price drop, decreasing by Rp470 (3.71%) to Rp12,206 per kg.
