Today's Food Prices in East Java: Onions Up, Salt Down

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Thursday (1/8/2024) at 09.17 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 6 commodities increased and 15 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are SPHP rice, bulk cooking oil, medium rice, premium rice, and garlic cloves.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as packaged cooking oil, mackerel fish, red chilies, pure beef, and dry soybean (import) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Garlic cloves experienced the highest price increase of Rp1,110 (3.18%) to Rp35,980 per kg. Meanwhile, iodized fine salt saw the sharpest price decrease of Rp760 (8.11%) to Rp8,610 per kg.

The following is a complete list of the prices of 21 food commodities in East Java according to Bapanas on August 1, 2024, at 09.17 WIB.

8. Skipjack Tuna: Rp30,250 per kg (up 1.65%)
9. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp26,210 per kg (down 0.3%)
10. Red Onions: Rp19,060 per kg (down 6.75%)
