Latest Food Prices in East Java: Rice, Sugar, and Egg Prices Increase

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Friday (29/11/2024) at 09.12 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 12 commodities increased in price and 9 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include iodized fine salt, garlic cloves, broiler chicken meat, granulated sugar, and chicken eggs.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as simple packaged cooking oil, medium rice, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), mackerel fish, and bulk cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Dry soybean (import) commodity surged the highest by Rp320 (3.29%) to Rp10,050 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of corn at the farmer level decreased the most sharply by Rp240 (4.39%) to Rp5,230 per kg.
