Indonesia Food Price Update Today: Chicken, Beef, and Cooking Oil Prices Rise (Saturday, February 17, 2024)

Prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Saturday (17/2/2024) at 09.24 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 13 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include farmer-level corn, simple packaged cooking oil, red chilies, bulk wheat flour, and mackerel.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as bulk cooking oil, medium rice, fine iodized salt, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and dry soybean (import) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Farmer-level corn experienced the highest price increase of Rp340 (3.95%) to Rp8,950 per kg. Fine iodized salt had the lowest price decrease of Rp230 (1.96%) to Rp11,510 per kg.

7. Red Onions: Rp33,490 per kg (up 0.72%)
8. Milkfish: Rp32,990 per kg (down 1.52%)
9. Skipjack Tuna: Rp31,890 per kg (down 1.15%)
10. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp29,000 per kg (up 0.59%)
11. Simple Packaged Cooking Oil: Rp17,740 per liter (up 1.55%)
