Indonesia's Current Food Prices: Egg and Rice Prices Rise

Prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Wednesday (24/7/2024) at 12:19 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 17 commodities increased and 4 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include skipjack tuna, simple packaged cooking oil, pure beef, milkfish, and broiler chicken.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as dry soybean (import), fine iodized salt, bulk cooking oil, and shallots decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili prices surged the highest by Rp2,380 (3.68%) to Rp66,980 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of fine iodized salt fell the most sharply by Rp30 (0.26%) to Rp11,460 per kg.
