Daily Prices of Granulated Sugar in Traditional Markets of West Sumatra Province Increased by 2.7% in the Last Month

The latest information from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center panel shows that the daily price of granulated sugar in traditional markets in West Sumatra Province is recorded at Rp19,050. This price remains unchanged compared to the previous day and the last week.

However, compared to the last month, the daily price of granulated sugar in traditional markets has increased from the previous Rp18,550.

Meanwhile, the daily price of granulated sugar in traditional markets in West Sumatra over the last three months has increased by 3.25% from the previous Rp18,450.

The record high for the daily price of granulated sugar in traditional markets in this province was previously recorded in March 2017 with an increase of 15.03%, and the lowest decrease was recorded in March 2017 with a decrease of -13.35%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) today in West Sumatra show ten commodities decreased and six others increased. The basic commodities with decreased prices are Super I Quality Rice, Red Onion, Curly Red Chili, Rice, Red Chili, Chili, Chicken Eggs, Fresh Chicken Eggs, Medium-Sized Red Onion, and Green Chili.

8. Fresh Broiler Chicken per Kg Rp52,150/kg (unchanged)
9. Cooking Oil per Kg Rp22,900/kg (up 4.81%)
