East Java Food Prices Friday (April 11th): Chili Peppers Up, Chicken Down

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are monitored to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Friday (11/4/2025) at 14.04 WIB, out of 23 commodities, 12 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include shallots, packaged cooking oil, granulated sugar, premium rice, and dry soybean (import).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as milkfish, Indian mackerel, chicken eggs, farmer-level corn, and Minyakita decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili prices surged the highest at Rp1,816 (2.35%) to Rp79,070 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of chicken meat fell the sharpest at Rp772 (2.25%) to Rp33,486 per kg.
