Today's Food Price Update in South Sumatra: Rice, Chicken, and Oil Prices Drop (Tuesday, April 16, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Tuesday (16/4/2024) at 21.53 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 4 commodities increased and 13 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are shallots, skipjack tuna, bulk wheat flour, and premium rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as granulated sugar, whole shallots, red chilies, simple packaged cooking oil, and mackerel have decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots saw the highest price increase of Rp230 (0.46%) to Rp50,700 per kg. Meanwhile, curly red chilies saw the lowest price decrease of Rp11,800 (19.82%) to Rp47,750 per kg.

6. Broiler Chicken: Rp36,620 per kg (down 1.53%)
7. Mackerel: Rp31,390 per kg (down 3.27%)
8. Skipjack Tuna: Rp28,520 per kg (up 0.25%)
9. Milkfish: Rp28,390 per kg (down 2.14%)
