Today's Food Prices in East Java: Onion Prices Rise, Chili Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are monitored to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Thursday (3/4/2025) at 16.04 WIB, out of 23 commodities, 14 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include garlic bulbs, shallots, milkfish, premium rice, and corn at the farmer level.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as Indian mackerel, red chilies, broiler chicken, bulk cooking oil, and pure beef decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of skipjack tuna saw the highest increase of Rp2,318 (8.06%) to Rp31,068 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of red chili peppers decreased the most, by Rp22,426 (20.92%) to Rp84,774 per kg.

7. Broiler Chicken: Rp35,625 per kg (down 0.83%)
8. Indian Mackerel: Rp34,632 per kg (down 2.62%)
9. Milkfish: Rp33,034 per kg (up 2.72%)
