Bali Food Prices Wednesday (May 15th): Chili Prices Up, Onion Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in Bali today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Wednesday (15/5/2024) at 16:31 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include bulk cooking oil, garlic bulbs, red chilies, skipjack tuna, and bulk wheat flour.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as milkfish, broiler chicken, dry soybean (import), shallots, and chicken eggs decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies saw the highest price increase of Rp2,270 (8.74%) to Rp28,250 per kg. The price of milkfish decreased the most, by Rp1,490 (4.0%) to Rp35,800 per kg.
