Indonesia's Daily Food Prices: Onion and Chili Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Sunday (22/12/2024) at 10:52 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 9 commodities increased in price and 12 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include premium rice, fine iodized salt, medium rice, mackerel, and pure beef.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as bulk wheat flour, broiler chicken, skipjack tuna, bulk cooking oil, and milkfish decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Mackerel experienced the highest price increase of Rp880 (2.31%) to Rp38,990 per kg. Milkfish, on the other hand, saw the largest price decrease of Rp740 (2.2%) to Rp32,880 per kg.

The following is a complete list of the prices of 21 food commodities in Indonesia according to Bapanas on December 22, 2024, at 10:52 WIB.

7. Broiler Chicken: Rp36,910 per kg (down 0.73%)
8. Milkfish: Rp32,880 per kg (down 2.2%)
9. Skipjack Tuna: Rp31,790 per kg (down 0.31%)
10. Chicken Eggs: Rp30,470 per kg (down 0.33%)
