East Java Food Prices Saturday (29/6): Rice and Chili Prices Increase

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are monitored to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Saturday (29/6/2024) at 11:16 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include farmer-level corn, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), broiler chicken, medium rice, and dry soybean (import).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as Indian mackerel, simple packaged cooking oil, chicken eggs, bulk wheat flour, and pure beef decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of curly red chilies surged the highest, up by Rp1,460 (4.6%) to Rp33,200 per kg. The price of skipjack tuna decreased the most sharply, down by Rp2,410 (7.87%) to Rp28,220 per kg.
