Daily Price of Medium-Sized Garlic at Traditional Markets, January 2024

The latest information from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center panel shows that the daily price of medium-sized garlic in traditional markets in Papua Province is recorded at Rp52,200. This price is unchanged compared to the previous day and the last week.

Compared to the last month, the daily price of medium-sized garlic in traditional markets has increased from the previous record of Rp49,600.

Meanwhile, the daily price of medium-sized garlic in traditional markets in Papua over the last three months has decreased by 12.42%. According to historical food price records on the PIHPS price panel, the daily price of medium-sized garlic in traditional markets in Papua Province was traded at Rp59,600.

The highest record of the daily price increase for medium-sized garlic in traditional markets in this province was previously recorded in July 2023 with an increase of 19.63%, and the lowest decrease was also recorded in July 2023 with a decrease of -16.93%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) today in Papua show seven commodities decreased and 13 others increased. The basic commodities with decreased prices are: Curly Red Chili, Large Red Chili, Garlic, Red Chili, Rice, Medium Quality Rice I, and Medium Quality Rice II.

9. Red Chili per Kg Rp66,500/kg (down 4.66%)
