The price of grade 2 beef in Central Java reached Rp 167,800 per kg on Wednesday, May 11, 2022. Compared to other regions, this area showed the highest price increase in the last week.

According to daily monitoring of staple food commodity prices from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center, the price of grade 2 beef in Central Java increased by 11.61% within a week.

Compared to the price 30 days prior, the price of grade 2 beef in this region has increased by 13.11%. Over the past year, the highest price for grade 2 beef in modern markets reached Rp 158,350 per kg.

From January to May 2022, the price of grade 2 beef in modern markets continued to rise, increasing by 13.11% compared to the previous month.

The price of grade 2 beef reached its lowest point at Rp 144,700 per kg on Monday, January 3, 2022. The highest price this year reached approximately Rp 167,800 per kg.

Nationally, the price of grade 2 beef began to rise towards the end of 2021. The average price of grade 2 beef in modern markets was Rp 166,190 per kg, a 0.54% increase compared to the end of the previous week.
