Onion Prices in East Kalimantan are the Highest Nationally (Tuesday, October 11, 2022)

The National Strategic Food Price Information Center recorded an average daily price of shallots (per kg) in modern markets across several provinces at Rp 53,150 per kg, as of Tuesday, October 11, 2022. Overall, the average this week decreased compared to last week's average of Rp 55,870 per kg.

The daily price of shallots in modern markets in East Kalimantan was the highest in Indonesia, with a selling price of Rp 83,450 per kg. Compared to a month ago, the price of shallots in this province is lower, previously recorded at Rp 88,200 per kg.

Meanwhile, in modern markets in Southeast Sulawesi, shallots were sold at Rp 82,950 per kg, making it the second most expensive in the country.

Then, in third place, the price of shallots in Bangka Belitung Islands was Rp 80,450 per kg, Banten Rp 62,300 per kg, and Bali Rp 61,700 per kg.

Meanwhile, there are 15 provinces with shallot sales prices below the national average. The three provinces with the lowest shallot selling prices are North Kalimantan, North Sumatra, and West Sulawesi.
