The daily price of medium-quality rice in traditional markets in South Sumatra Province has decreased by 1.62% over the past month.

The latest information from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center panel shows that the daily price of medium-quality I rice in traditional markets in South Sumatra Province is recorded at Rp15,150. This price is unchanged from the previous day, and similarly, there has been no change in price over the past week.

Compared to the price over the past month, the daily price of medium-quality I rice in traditional markets has decreased from the previous record of Rp15,400.

Meanwhile, the daily price of medium-quality I rice in traditional markets in South Sumatra over the past three months has decreased by 1.94%. According to historical food price records on the PIHPS price panel, the daily price of medium-quality I rice in traditional markets in South Sumatra Province was traded at Rp15,450.

The highest recorded increase in the daily price of medium-quality I rice in traditional markets in this province was in August 2023, with an increase of 12.81%, and the lowest decrease was also recorded in August 2023, with a decrease of -11.36%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) today in South Sumatra show 14 commodities decreased and seven increased. Basic commodities with price decreases include Low-Quality I Rice, Chicken Eggs, Granulated Sugar, Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 1, Rice, Garlic, Medium-Sized Garlic, Red Chili, Cooking Oil, Premium Quality Granulated Sugar, Chili Peppers, Green Chili Peppers, Fresh Chicken Eggs, and Curly Red Chili.

The following are the prices of nine basic commodities monitored by PIHPS today compared to price changes over the past month in South Sumatra Province:
