Current Food Prices in Jakarta: Chili Prices Rise, Salt Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in DKI Jakarta today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Thursday (11/7/2024) at 12:25 WIB, out of 19 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include pure beef, bulk wheat flour, premium rice, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and bulk cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as milkfish, broiler chicken, skipjack tuna, fine iodized salt, and shallots decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili prices increased the most, by Rp1,240 (2.85%) to Rp44,720 per kg. Fine iodized salt prices decreased the most, by Rp870 (7.15%) to Rp11,290 per kg.

6. Shallots: Rp39,280 per kg (down 0.28%)
7. Broiler Chicken: Rp34,590 per kg (down 6.87%)
8. Skipjack Tuna: Rp34,360 per kg (down 2.5%)
9. Mackerel: Rp33,530 per kg (up 0.3%)
10. Chicken Eggs: Rp28,740 per kg (up 1.41%)
