Indonesia's Daily Food Prices: Cooking Oil Up, Chilies Down

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Sunday (29/9/2024) at 08.01 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 12 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include dry soybean (import), farmer-level corn, fine iodized salt, shallots, and bulk cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as milkfish, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), red chili peppers, SPHP rice, and medium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of mackerel increased the most by Rp2,320 (6.22%) to Rp39,610 per kg. The price of skipjack tuna decreased the most by Rp1,330 (4.15%) to Rp30,740 per kg.

8. Skipjack Tuna: Rp30,740 per kg (down 4.15%)
9. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp28,920 per kg (up 1.76%)
10. Shallots: Rp28,700 per kg (up 2.72%)
11. Simple Packaged Cooking Oil: Rp18,660 per liter (up 2.81%)
