Current Food Prices in Central Java: Salt Up, Chilies Down

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Sunday (18/8/2024) at 16.01 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 14 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include SHP rice, premium rice, bulk cooking oil, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and farmer-level corn.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as broiler chicken, medium rice, milkfish, red chilies, and bulk wheat flour decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Farmer-level corn experienced the highest price increase of Rp130 (2.64%) to Rp5,050 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of skipjack tuna experienced the largest decrease of Rp2,400 (7.76%) to Rp28,530 per kg.
