Today's Food Prices in Jambi Region: Rice Up, Chilies Down

The prices of several food commodities in Jambi today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Wednesday (28/8/2024) at 13.29 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 5 commodities increased and 5 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are premium rice, medium-grade rice (SPHP), shallot cloves, milkfish, and chicken eggs.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chilies, skipjack tuna, Indian mackerel, chicken meat, and curly red chilies decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Milkfish prices saw the highest increase of Rp1,550 (5.3%) to Rp30,770 per kg. Curly red chilies experienced the sharpest price drop of Rp1,160 (3.52%) to Rp31,840 per kg.
