South Sumatra Food Prices Today: Chili Prices Up, Rice Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to be lower compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Wednesday (24/7/2024) at 09:49 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 6 commodities increased and 13 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are iodized fine salt, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), dry soybean seeds (import), pure beef, and red chili peppers.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as premium rice, milkfish, bulk wheat flour, curly red chilies, and mackerel decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili peppers saw the highest price increase of Rp2,900 (4.5%) to Rp67,350 per kg. Bulk wheat flour experienced the largest price decrease of Rp330 (3.66%) to Rp8,680 per kg.
