Banten Region Food Prices Friday (March 28th): Red Chilies Up, Onions Down

The prices of several food commodities in Banten today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Friday (March 28, 2025) at 13:51 WIB, out of 25 commodities, 15 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include mackerel, milkfish, broiler chicken meat, packaged cooking oil, and garlic bulbs.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as SPHP rice, dry soybean (import), broiler chicken eggs, farmer-level corn, and bulk cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Large red chilies saw the highest price increase of Rp2,096 (3.45%) to Rp62,929 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of farmer-level corn decreased the most, by Rp683 (8.45%) to Rp7,400 per kg.
