Banten Food Price Update Today: Onion Prices Up, Chili Prices Down (Monday, April 15, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in Banten today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Monday (15/4/2024) at 10:03 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 13 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include packaged simple cooking oil, granulated sugar, iodized fine salt, farmer-level corn, and shallots.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as medium-grain rice, milkfish, bulk wheat flour, bulk cooking oil, and skipjack tuna decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red onion prices surged the highest by Rp14,930 (28.96%) to Rp66,490 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of red chili peppers decreased the least by Rp9,960 (22.27%) to Rp34,760 per kg.
