Today's Food Prices in Indonesia February 27: Prices of Red Chili, Onions and Oil Drop

Some food commodity prices in Indonesia today were observed to drop compared to yesterday.

Quoting data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Friday (February 27, 2026) at 14:23 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 6 commodities increased and 8 decreased in price.

Commodities with price increases include broiler chicken eggs, medium rice, broiler chicken meat, beef hind shank, and red bird's eye chili.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as shallots, large red chili, curly red chili, Honan garlic, and wheat flour decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red bird's eye chili had the highest price increase of Rp461 (0.63%) to Rp74,150 per kg. Meanwhile, large red chili had the sharpest price drop of Rp3,541 (8.15%) to Rp39,932 per kg.

7. Honan Garlic: Rp36,623 per kg (down 0.04%)
8. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp30,992 per kg (up 0.1%)
9. Premium Packed Palm Cooking Oil: Rp21,108 per liter (down 0.02%)
