Latest Food Prices in East Java: Salt Up, Chilies Down (Tuesday, December 26, 2023)

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Tuesday (26/12/2023) at 10:22 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 15 commodities increased in price and 5 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), broiler chicken, dry soybean (import), granulated sugar, and skipjack tuna.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as Indian mackerel, medium rice, shallots, red chilies, and simple packaged cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt saw the highest price increase of Rp610 (6.33%), reaching Rp10,250 per kg. Red chilies experienced the lowest price decrease of Rp2,910 (5.0%), reaching Rp55,290 per kg.

7. Skipjack Tuna: Rp32,770 per kg (up 1.99%)
8. Broiler Chicken: Rp32,250 per kg (up 0.69%)
9. Shallots: Rp29,930 per kg (down 1.29%)
