Current Food Prices in South Sumatra: What's the Price of Chili Peppers?

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Tuesday (30/4/2024) at 13.43 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include garlic bulbs, red chilies, medium rice, skipjack tuna, and red chilies.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, chicken eggs, fine iodized salt, bulk wheat flour, and milkfish decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies saw the highest price increase of Rp1,510 (3.07%) to Rp50,630 per kg. Milkfish, on the other hand, experienced the lowest price decrease of Rp2,850 (10.5%) to Rp24,290 per kg.
