Current Food Prices in the Yogyakarta Special Region: Rice and Sugar Prices Increase

Food prices in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, have risen today compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Monday, February 3, 2025, at 17:35 WIB, out of 23 commodities, 12 commodities increased in price and 8 decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include broiler chicken, Indian mackerel, packaged cooking oil, large red chilies, and medium-grain rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as Minyakita (a brand of cooking oil), red chilies, chicken eggs, iodized fine salt, and shallots decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Large red chilies saw the highest price increase, up Rp1,687 (2.79%) to Rp62,250 per kg. Shallots experienced the sharpest price drop, down Rp462 (1.4%) to Rp32,538 per kg.
