Latest Food Prices in West Sumatra: Onion Prices Up, Red Chili Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Friday (11/4/2025) at 16.35 WIB, out of 24 commodities, 13 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include shallots, packaged cooking oil, dry soybean (import), SPHP rice, and premium rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as granulated sugar, red chili peppers, skipjack tuna, farmer-level corn, and shallots have decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots experienced the highest price increase, jumping Rp1,292 (3.48%) to Rp38,435 per kg. Milkfish prices saw the sharpest decrease, dropping Rp5,000 (11.11%) to Rp40,000 per kg.
