Today's Food Prices in West Sumatra: Prices of Cooking Oil, Salt, and Eggs Drop

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Sunday (27/10/2024) at 11:48 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include broiler chicken, skipjack tuna, bulk cooking oil, dry soybean (import), and premium rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as simple packaged cooking oil, farmer-level corn, broiler eggs, mackerel, and curly red chilies decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Skipjack tuna prices surged the highest by Rp3,020 (8.47%) to Rp38,690 per kg. Meanwhile, red chili prices decreased the most by Rp9,760 (20.0%) to Rp39,040 per kg.
