West Sumatra Food Prices Saturday (September 7th): Sugar, Rice, and Onion Prices Increase

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Saturday (7/9/2024) at 13.53 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 12 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include premium rice, farmer-level corn, milkfish, SPHP rice, and dry soybean (import).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chilies, shallots, curly red chilies, broiler chicken, and simple packaged cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Milkfish experienced the highest price increase of Rp1,080 (3.54%) to Rp31,580 per kg. Red chilies saw the sharpest price drop of Rp5,800 (9.47%) to Rp55,440 per kg.
