Current Food Prices in Banten: Chili Prices Up, Oil Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in Banten today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Thursday (29/8/2024) at 13:44 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include shallots, red chilies, chicken eggs, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and garlic bulbs.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as SPHP rice, dry soybean seeds (import), medium rice, pure beef, and bulk wheat flour decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies saw the highest price increase, up by Rp1,940 (5.32%) to Rp38,390 per kg. Milkfish saw the largest price decrease, down by Rp1,480 (4.51%) to Rp31,340 per kg.
