Indonesia Food Price Update Today: Chili Prices Rise, Salt Prices Fall (Monday, April 8, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Monday (8/4/2024) at 13:39 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 18 commodities increased in price and 2 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include dried soybean (import), medium-grain rice, curly red chilies, bulk cooking oil, and kembung fish.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as tongkol fish and iodized fine salt decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Curly red chilies saw the highest price increase of Rp4,510 (8.84%) to Rp55,530 per kg. The price of tongkol fish decreased the most, by Rp100 (0.31%) to Rp31,790 per kg.

9. Tongkol Fish: Rp31,790 per kg (down 0.31%)
