The Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) reported that the state spending in the State Budget (APBN) reached Rp1,082.8 trillion in April 2026.

According to its components, state spending is divided into two parts, namely central government spending (BPP) and transfers to regions.

In April 2026, the BPP realization amounted to Rp826 trillion, a 51.1% increase (yoy). This consists of ministry/institution spending (K/L) of Rp400.5 trillion and non-K/L spending of Rp425.5 trillion.

Then, transfers to regions (TKD) amounted to Rp256.8 trillion, a 1% correction from the same period the previous year (yoy).

However, this spending exceeded state revenue, resulting in a deficit in the APBN in April 2026.

The Ministry of Finance reported that the APBN deficit reached Rp164.4 trillion in this period, equivalent to 0.64% of the gross domestic product (GDP).

This deficit reversed from the APBN surplus in April 2025, which amounted to Rp4.3 trillion, equivalent to 0.02% of the GDP.
