In response to this, Celios urges the government to implement policies for the decentralization of extractive industries.

"This step should be reinforced with financialization reforms and the decentralization of extractive revenues, so that the management of natural resources becomes more transparent and the benefits are more equitably distributed among the public," said Celios.
