Ahead of the deadline, 11.43 million taxpayers have already filed their annual tax returns.

Based on data from the Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) of the Ministry of Finance, as of April 19, 2026, there were 11.43 million taxpayers who have reported their Annual Notification (SPT) for Income Tax (PPh) for the 2025 tax year.

Of this number, the majority, or 9.85 million, are individual taxpayers who are employees. Then there are 1.22 million individual taxpayers who are not employees.

Then there are 343,765 corporate taxpayers who pay in rupiah and 250 corporate taxpayers who pay in US dollars.

DJP Director of Counseling, Service, and Public Relations Inge Diana Rismawanti said that this SPT reporting figure shows that taxpayer participation remains high and supports the digital transformation of taxation.

"The number of SPT reports and Coretax activations shows that taxpayer participation remains high and supports the ongoing transformation of taxation services," said Inge in her statement, as reported by Katadata, Monday (April 20, 2026).

She urged taxpayers not to delay reporting until close to the deadline to avoid technical difficulties.

The deadline for reporting personal PPh SPT is April 30, 2026. This deadline was extended from the previously set deadline of March 31, 2026.
