Indonesia's Economic Growth Strengthened Slightly in 2025

According to a report by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), Indonesia's economy grew by 5.11% (year-on-year/yoy) in 2025.

This figure was measured from the value of Indonesia's constant-price gross domestic product (GDP), which increased from Rp12.92 quadrillion in 2024 to Rp13.58 quadrillion in 2025.

If measured by the current-price GDP, the value of Indonesia's economy in 2025 reached Rp23.82 quadrillion.

Indonesia's economic growth in 2025 slightly strengthened compared to 2024, as shown in the chart.

The figure is also slightly above the estimates of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF), which projected Indonesia's economy to grow by 5.0% in 2025.

However, the growth is lower than the target set in the National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN) 2025-2029.

In the RPJMN, the government targets Indonesia's economic growth in 2025 to reach 5.3%, as a step towards achieving an 8% growth by 2029.
