"As of January 31, 2026, state revenue reached Rp172.7 trillion, an increase of 9.8% year-on-year," said Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa at a working meeting with the House of Representatives Commission XI on Wednesday (4/2/2026).

The Ministry of Finance noted that by the end of January 2026, Indonesia's tax revenue amounted to Rp138.9 trillion, a year-on-year increase of 20.5%.

Of this amount, tax revenue reached Rp116.2 trillion, an increase of 30.8% year-on-year. Meanwhile, customs and excise revenue amounted to Rp22.6 trillion, a decrease of 14% year-on-year.

Subsequently, non-state tax revenue (PNPB) also declined by 19.7% year-on-year to Rp33.9 trillion in January 2026.

"This is due to the non-recurrence of bank dividend deposits of Rp10 trillion in the previous year," said Purbaya.

Nevertheless, Purbaya assessed that the tax revenue achievement in this period sends a positive signal to the Indonesian economy.
