Deputy Minister of Finance, Thomas A. M. Djiwandono, stated that the government's realized spending for the People's School (SR) program throughout 2025 reached IDR 6.6 trillion.

“The budget educated 15,895 underprivileged students, involved 6,849 teachers and educational staff, by operating 166 SR from elementary to high school levels,” he explained during a press conference, Jakarta, Thursday (January 8, 2026).

In the Ministry of Finance's report, several facilities of the SR were explained, including:

Health checks;
Talent mapping;
Basic academic competencies;
Strengthening discipline;
Boarding school (dormitory);
School uniforms and supplies;
Three meals and two snacks per day; and
Digital learning support.
