Indonesia's Central Government Budget in the 2026 State Budget Draft, Increased by 17.76%

Based on the 2026 State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (RAPBN) draft, the central government's expenditure is planned at Rp3,136.5 trillion.

Of this planned budget, Rp1,498.3 trillion is allocated for ministry/agency expenditure and Rp1,638.2 trillion for non-ministry/agency expenditure.

This amount represents a 17.76% increase compared to the estimated (outlook) APBN 2025 expenditure budget of Rp2,663.4 trillion.

Central government expenditure has shown an upward trend over the last three years (2022-2026), as follows:

• 2022: Rp2,280 trillion
• 2023: Rp2,239.8 trillion
• 2024: Rp2,496.2 trillion
• 2025 (outlook): Rp2,663.4 trillion
• RAPBN 2026: Rp3,136.5 trillion

Based on the Financial Note of the 2026 RAPBN, the central government's expenditure will be utilized for eight priority programs, including:

1. Strengthening food security.
2. Strengthening energy security.
3. Implementation of the free nutritious meal program (MBG).
4. Improving access to and quality of education (continuing the construction of Rakyat Schools and Garuda Excellent Schools).
5. Expanding access to and services for public health.
6. Village, cooperative, and UMKM development.
7. Strengthening national defense and security.
8. Accelerating investment and global trade.
