The Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) reports that the realization of the food security budget in the first half of 2025 has reached Rp46.9 trillion. This achievement is equivalent to 32.7% of the 2025 State Budget (APBN) allocation.

Based on its items, the largest portion of the food security budget was allocated for the stabilization of paddy and rice prices through the BULOG Government Investment Operator Fund (OIP), amounting to Rp16.6 trillion.

Finance Minister Sri Mulyani stated that this is one of BULOG's largest operations in the last seven years.

"We see that the current rice stock held by BULOG reaches 4.19 million (tons), the highest in the last 57 years of BULOG's operation," said Sri Mulyani in a working meeting with the DPR Budget Board on Tuesday (1/7/2025).

Here is the detail of food security budget allocation for the first half of 2025:

Stabilization of paddy and rice prices through BULOG (OIP): Rp16.6 trillion
Distribution of 3.7 million tons of subsidized fertilizer and simplification of governance: Rp10.3 trillion
Assistance for agricultural machinery and equipment (alsintan) and agricultural production facilities: Rp2.6 trillion
Rice field development and land intensification covering 51.3 ha: Rp2.3 trillion
Dams, with 31.7% realization of the target of 15 units: Rp1.4
Irrigation, with 12.9% realization of the target of 216,000 ha: Rp1.3 trillion.
