Indonesia's Food Prices Today: Chili Prices Up, Salt Prices Down

Prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Monday (16/9/2024) at 2:25 PM WIB, out of 21 commodities, 16 commodities increased in price and 4 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include medium-grain rice, SPHP rice, broiler chicken, Indian mackerel, and milkfish.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as pure beef, fine iodized salt, farmer-level corn, and bulk cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Milkfish experienced the highest price increase of Rp530 (1.62%), reaching Rp33,190 per kg. Farmer-level corn experienced the largest price decrease of Rp40 (0.67%), reaching Rp5,960 per kg.
