Global Investors Confident in Bright Prospects for Green Investments

According to a Responsible Investor survey, global investors believe that opportunities for environmentally friendly investments will increase in the next 5 years.

Environmentally friendly investments refer to capital investments that contribute positively to nature conservation (nature-positive), such as through reforestation, renewable energy, waste recycling, and so on.

Based on the survey, 63% of global investors believe that opportunities for environmentally friendly investments will slightly increase in the next 5 years.

Meanwhile, 25% of respondents are optimistic that opportunities will increase significantly. On the other hand, 12% of investors say that opportunities for environmentally friendly investments in the next 5 years will remain the same.

However, from the Responsible Investor survey, not a single investor predicted that opportunities for environmentally friendly investments will slightly decrease or decrease significantly in the next 5 years.

According to Responsible Investor, the responses in this survey reflect positive progress. However, there are still issues to be addressed.

"There are still issues related to data, lack of representation at the board level, and the need for regulation," said Responsible Investor in its report.

This survey was conducted in May and June 2025, involving 100 respondents from among asset managers and owners spread across Europe, North America, Australia-New Zealand, Asia, and Latin America.

Each respondent manages or owns assets ranging from less than US$1 billion to more than US$500 billion.
