Today's Food Prices in Yogyakarta: Salt Prices Rise, Chili Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in Yogyakarta today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Saturday (20/7/2024) at 10:51 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include wheat flour (bulk), milkfish, medium-grain rice, garlic bulbs, and pure beef.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as mackerel, skipjack tuna, chicken eggs, simple packaged cooking oil, and shallots decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt saw the highest price increase of Rp310 (2.65%) to Rp12,000 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of red chilies experienced the sharpest decrease of Rp2,450 (6.93%) to Rp32,910 per kg.
