IDR 710 Billion MBG Disbursement in March 2025: Recipient Details

The Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) reports that Rp710.5 billion has been disbursed for the free nutritious food (MBG) program as of March 12, 2025.

This budget has been distributed to over 2 million recipients, including toddlers, schoolchildren, pregnant women, and breastfeeding mothers.

Specifically, the MBG program has reached the most elementary/primary school children (SD/MI), totaling 912,023 individuals. This is followed by junior high/MTs students (578,465); senior high/MA/SMK students (424,145); pre-elementary school children (111,127); and Islamic boarding school students (10,681).

Furthermore, the MBG program also reaches 7,811 toddlers, 4,548 children with special needs (SLB), 2,613 breastfeeding mothers, and 1,835 pregnant women.

"The President has instructed that the number of beneficiaries be maximized in 2025 to reach the target of 82.9 million MBG recipients," said Deputy Minister of Finance Suahasil Nazara in a press conference on the APBN KiTa, Thursday (February 13, 2025).

In line with the expansion of the target, the budget for the MBG program, initially allocated at Rp71 trillion, has been increased to Rp171 trillion in 2025.
