Latest Food Prices in East Java: Rice Up, Onions Down (Sunday, January 14, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Sunday (14/1/2024) at 10:01 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include granulated sugar, simple packaged cooking oil, red chilies, milkfish, and pure beef.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as iodized fine salt, dry soybean (import), mackerel, shallots, and chicken eggs decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The highest price increase was for livestock-level corn, up by Rp790 (11.43%) to Rp7,700 per kg. The lowest price decrease was for mackerel, down Rp2,990 (8.82%) to Rp30,910 per kg.
