The Attorney General's Office (Kejagung) has named Isa Rachmatarwata, the Director General of Budget at the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu), as a suspect in the alleged corruption case involving PT Asuransi Jiwasraya.
Abdul Qohar, Director of Investigation at the Attorney General's Office for Special Crimes (Jampidsus), stated that sufficient evidence had been found to name Isa Rachmatarwata as a suspect. "At that time, he served as the Head of Insurance Bureau at the Capital Market Supervisory Agency and Financial Institution (Bapepam-LK) from 2006-2012," said Abdul Qohar in a press conference at the Attorney General's Office, as reported by *Katadata* on Friday, February 7, 2025.
Based on the examination and investigation of the corruption case, state losses are estimated to reach Rp16.8 trillion.
According to the State Officials' Wealth Report (LHKPN) from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), Isa Rachmatarwata reported assets worth Rp38.97 billion in 2023.
The majority of his assets consist of securities worth Rp19.52 billion. He also owns six plots of land and buildings valued at Rp8.84 billion, located in South Tangerang, Tasikmalaya, and South Jakarta.
He also possesses cash and cash equivalents worth Rp5.79 billion, other assets worth Rp3.12 billion, transportation assets worth Rp1.5 billion, and other movable assets worth Rp504.06 million.
His reported transportation assets include three vehicles: a Toyota Camry (2011), a Mazda CX9 (2021), and a Hyundai Ioniq 5 (2023).
