The Wealth Declaration of Setyo Budiyanto, Elected KPK Chair 2024-2029

Comjen Pol Setyo Budiyanto was elected as the Chairperson of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) for the 2024-2029 period during a plenary session of Commission III in Jakarta on Thursday, November 21, 2024.

Setyo received the most votes in the election for the KPK leadership, with a total of 45 votes.

He is a high-ranking police officer with the rank of Commissioner General (Komjen), equivalent to a three-star general. During his time in the police force, Setyo served as the KPK's Director of Investigation in 2021. Currently, he holds the position of Inspector General (Irjen) at the Ministry of Agriculture.

According to the KPK's State Officials' Wealth Report (LHKPN), Setyo's assets were valued at Rp9.61 billion at the end of 2023.

The majority of his assets consist of land and buildings worth Rp7.6 billion. This comprises three plots of land and buildings located in South Tangerang, Bogor, and Makassar.

Setyo is also reported to own transportation assets worth Rp946 million, including a Toyota LX (2012), a Vespa Piaggio scooter (2016), an RB bicycle (2020), and a Trek RB bicycle (2022).

In addition, Setyo has cash and cash equivalents worth Rp705 million and other movable assets worth Rp360 million. As of the end of 2023, the new KPK chairman is recorded as having no debt.
